FRESNO, CA — Today, the Valley Voters for the Environment and Health Political Action Committee (Valley Voters PAC) released their endorsements for three local offices: Bryan Osorio for Delano City Council, Santos Garcia for Mayor of Madera, and Rachele Alcantar for Poplar Community Services District Board. This announcement comes as voters receive their mail-in-ballots.

“We recognize the vital role that our local leaders play in shaping the future of our communities, and we are proud to endorse candidates from diverse backgrounds who reflect the resilience and values of the people they serve. Bryan Osorio, Santos Garcia, and Rachele Alcantar have demonstrated a deep commitment to advancing climate justice, especially in key battleground areas where the fight for clean air, clean water, and electrification are the most urgent.
The Central Valley is on the frontlines of devastating wildfires, extreme heat waves, and power blackouts. These disasters have exacerbated the struggles of communities already grappling with economic hardships, an ongoing housing affordability crisis, and severe public health threats caused by air pollution and water contamination.
These candidates’ leadership has been instrumental in addressing local issues. They’ve shown great dedication to continuously standing up for the needs of their constituents, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of wildfire resilience, cleaner air quality, and clean energy expansion.”
